What an amazing book, A Perfect World is a 176 page compilation of over 700 written pieces and drawings from students on every continent voicing their hopes, dreams and ideas for The Perfect World.

This is the first book to be produced by the charity WriteUnite, which was set up entirely by the inspirational 17-year old British student Omara Elling-Hwang in 2012 . The charity was established to give young people everywhere a voice to express their thoughts and feelings on global issues that truly matter.

Omara says “We aim to unite the world through short stories, poems and illustrations contributed by children everywhere. The book has demonstrated that whilst we may live in different places and under different circumstances, we all share the same hopes and dreams”.

Submissions were themed to drive home a strong global message from children all over and to inspire everyone to contribute to sharing their dreams, feelings and aspirations – big or small

Proceeds from the sales of The Perfect World are reinvested back into WriteUnite who will be donating school kits to schools in Kenya. Each kit contains a rucksack, writing books, pencil case, pencils, pen, rubber, ruler, pencil sharpener, non-battery operated torch and watch and will be a precious resource for students in poorer regions of the world. In addition to the school kits, every child who submitted to The Perfect World will be receiving their very own copy of the book, as thanks for their support and commitment to reading.

Keep an eye out for their second book ‘I Believe I Can’ which is due to be released shortly
